It creates a slightly grainy, absorbent surface that provides excellent paint adhesion, extends the life of the artwork, and serves as a dramatic dark base. It is ideal as a base for paints from the MAIMERI Polycolor and MAIMERI Acrilico lines by a traditional Italian manufacturer.

Parameters and features

Brand: MAIMERI

Product line: Polycolor

Type: acrylic primer (gesso)

Shade: black

Volume: 500 ml

Suitable surfaces: canvas, wood, paper, cardboard, plaster, and other absorbent surfaces

Compatibility: acrylic paints and oil paints (e.g., MAIMERI Polycolor, MAIMERI Acrilico)

Country of origin: Italy (tradition since 1923)

Use and application

Apply the gesso with a brush or roller in 1 to 2 thin coats to the chosen surface.
