Customer reviews
The paint is very good, but the tube packaging is terrible. When the tubes get dirty or crumpled, it’s almost impossible to see what color they are. Why were the tubes packaged this way?
This brand has been with me forever. I’m 77, and I’ve been painting, drawing, and sculpting since I was 4. It has always been a product of “quality.”
Quality paint, good coverage, easy to mix, and pleasant to use. I find oil painting very fulfilling.
I’ve probably been using W&N products for over 50 years, and my oil paints are W&N too. I still have hog-bristle brushes that have lasted for years. In short, I’m very happy with all this brand’s products and will keep using them.
An excellent product. When you use a quality brush, you can really feel the difference, and the result is different.
This is my sixth or seventh Winton, and once again I’m surprised that it’s a student-grade paint. It feels and looks like artist quality. It makes beautiful grays and is slightly warm on its own, despite its blue undertones. Fantastic for mixing muted greens with a little lemon yellow.
I’m new to painting, and when I first opened this raw umber oil paint, I thought it was black. But after getting some advice, I thinned it, and it turned into an amazing dark brown.
For a paint intended for more advanced artists, this is an excellent choice. I use it because I love how transparent it is in the first layers. Good paint at a great price.
