Back to School! Art Supplies for Kids and Adults

Getting ready for the start of school can be pretty stressful, especially if you have a first grader at home. To make sure you don’t forget anything, we’ve put together a handy checklist. The good news is that at ARTMiE you can find all your supplies in one place, so with our help
you won’t forget a thing. Let’s get started!
What does a first grader need?
If you have a first grader at home, their pencil case should definitely include a refillable pen,
for writing their first letters. For older kids, consider an erasable pen,
which will save them a lot of time when writing. A pencil, sharpener and eraser are essential, of course, and you can find those
in one set.

Tip: Don’t forget older kids, who will definitely appreciate a compass and a ruler in their pencil case.

Creative activities

Crafting at school

Crafting has always been one of the most popular activities at school, so your kids are sure to love it too. Of course, we mustn’t forget scissors, which are an essential part of a pencil case. For safety, choose scissors with a protective cover, for example in red or green.

Tip: If you have older kids at home, don’t forget things like correction tape or graph paper.

Art supplies

In art class, kids can try different techniques and find the one they enjoy most.
So don’t forget modeling clay, an A4 drawing pad, watercolors, tempera paints or a water cup,
which is also available in this foldable version.
Brushes are very important for painting. You can find them in various sets, as well as flat brushes
and round brushes. And above all, don’t forget palettes and a mat to protect the table and its surroundings from spills.

Tip: If your child enjoys creating on paper or canvas, don’t forget to get them sponges or palette knives,
which they can use to try out new techniques.

If you have an older child who has fallen in love with watercolor painting, you could buy them, for example,
watercolors, which we recommend for more advanced techniques.

With quality supplies, your child can fall in love with school and creative activities. So go ahead and nurture
their imagination, and choose the best from our ARTMiE selection.
Have a great start to the new school year!
