The final matte varnish DALER ROWNEY for oil paints reliably evens out the gloss of your painting, giving it a pleasing, non-reflective appearance. This matte finish effectively reduces unwanted glare when photographing or under exhibition lighting and evens out differences in gloss between individual shades and paint layers, while safely protecting the artwork from dust and aging.
Apply the varnish in one thin, even coat with a soft flat brush to a completely dry oil painting, usually several months after completing it. For best results, work in a dust-free, well-ventilated area and close the bottle tightly after use.
