Decola Tie-Dye Paint Set of 8

Acrylic paints for silk from the Decola series are intended for various types of natural and delicate synthetic fabrics. These striking, intensely vibrant paints are suitable for painting on silk, wool, and similar animal-based fabrics, which are heat-set by ironing. These highly concentrated, water-thinnable paints are environmentally friendly. They are high quality and versatile, and can be used with common painting techniques such as tie-dyeing, painting with a thickener, watercolor techniques, or creating effects with salt. For the best results, it is recommended to wash the silk in warm, soapy water before painting. This removes the finish, which can interfere with proper paint application. Apply the paints to the fabric with a brush (we recommend a stiff flat brush); they flow smoothly. The paints penetrate deep into the fabric fibers without spreading. After the painted silk has dried (1 - 1.5 h), heat-set it by ironing on the reverse side. After heat-setting, the paints become beautifully vibrant, and the silk is beautifully glossy and very soft to the touch. The paints can be used undiluted or diluted and can be mixed together. The manufacturer recommends storing the bottles in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and protecting them from direct sunlight. The fabrics can be machine-washed at 30°C - 40°C.
