This is a wonderful set for student gouache painting. The tubes are a generous 20 ml, so I can experiment a lot more, and the price is fantastic. The set contains CMY primary colors instead of the RYB primaries I was taught in school, and I actually prefer it.
I bought the cobalt blue, and it’s incredibly pigmented. Just a little gives you a very vibrant color.
This yellow gouache is exactly what was missing from my studio. Schmincke quality speaks for itself.
The paint has a lovely creamy consistency in the tube and mixes really well with water.
